I am a Registered Social Worker and I believe that therapy should be a collaborative and creative process. I strive to provide a safe and non-judgmental space where individuals can feel at ease to explore and gain further insight into their thoughts, feelings, sensations, and behaviours. I enjoy helping clients who are interested in their own personal growth and wellbeing. If you are seeking support in navigating challenges, developing coping strategies, achieving your personal goals, and living in accordance with your values, let’s connect.
I have worked with adults in mental health for over 25 years in several community and hospital based settings. I have had the honour of working with many individuals from diverse backgrounds and unique needs over the course of my career. My approach is compassionate, client-centred, and strengths-based. I believe that therapy should be tailored to each individual’s unique needs. I aim to help my clients break free from unhelpful patterns of relating to themselves and others by connecting with their values, creativity, sense of humour, and what is most meaningful to them.
Treatment Modalities:
My approach to working with clients is informed by Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Internal Family systems (IFS), Solution Focused Therapy, Motivational Enhancement, various trauma theories, and the Humanistic Psychology and Person-In-Environment theories which underpin Social Work practice.
Education:
Master of Social Work, University of Windsor
